教学目标
[德育目标]：通过本单元的学习让学生充分认识西方的重要节日圣诞节。通过中西方节日对比，让学生进一步了解中国历史文化的悠久，增强学生的爱国意识。

[智育目标]：激发学生学习英语的兴趣，调动学习积极性，引导学生积极与他人合作，在活动中培养学生的协作能力和竞争意识。

[素质发展目标]：掌握单词special, 读懂课文中的故事。

教学重点难点
[教学重点]：掌握本课四会单词和句型

[教学难点]：能灵活应用所学知识进行交际。

教学过程	Step 1 Class opening and Review 1) Sing a carol ! 2) Make a decoration for the tree . Step 2 Presentation 1、Teach “ special ” ① Christmas is a Western holiday . It’s a special holiday . ② In lesson 27 . Li Ming wants to buy Jenny’s family “ something special ” . What do the students think it means ? 2、Learn a story T : Why do you give gifts at Christmas ? That’s an old story . Let me tell you ! ① Explain that this story in the traditional story of Christmas . ② This story contains a lot of new words . ③ Help them understand the main idea . ④ Listen to the tape as they follow their books . 3、Let’s sing a carol ① Teach the “ Rocking Carol ” in Number 2 of the student book . ② Divide the class into small groups .Each student make a “ gift ” to other . Step 3 Consolidation Listen to the tape as they follow with their books . Step 4 Homework ① Ask the students make a gift for Christmas Day . ② Activity book .	设计意图

教后反思	“不学习语言规则、不掌握相当数量的词汇，英语应用能力就是空中楼阁”。（包天仁语）俄罗斯通常在初中一年级开设英语课(相当于我国的小学5年级)，每周3节课，第一学年即要求掌握约1300个英语词汇，学生到高中毕业时要掌握1万以上词汇，基本可以读懂英文原著。而我国现在对高中毕业生的要求是掌握2000词汇(包括词组)，新研制的课程标准要求掌握4000个左右的词汇。我们应该借鉴国外的经验，尽快解决英语教学费时较多、收效较低的现状。而目前在小学的低年级的英语教学中，不要求学生掌握词汇，而只要求学生能根据提示或图片说出该单词，其本质无非是要学生们死记硬背，鹦鹉学舌。由于小学生们没有相应的读音规则训练，不熟悉词汇的拼写规则，单词的音、形、意三者不能有效的结合在一起，因而导致了单词记忆的困难，并成了小学生雪英语的瓶颈。
